Notable Changes from the Previous Model
Like other vehicles from Hyundai, the 2023 lineup has been consolidated with more standard features. These include a larger infotainment screen, power-adjustable driver's seat and rear sunshades.
Infortainment and Technology Features
The standard infotainment system is a 10.25 touchscreen display with onboard navigation. It supports Bluetooth hand-free communication, Bluelink services and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity. The higher-end models add a head-up display and an immersive sound from a 630-watt 12-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system.
Exterior Design
From its front fascia, the Santa Fe showcases its balanced exterior design. It features a distinctive grille design with the Hyundai logo, a T-shaped light signature, LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. Standard wheels are 18-inch alloys with an option for 19- and 20-inch versions.
Interior Comfort and Cargo
Thanks to the floating centre console, the interior is futuristic with convenient features. Standard features on the base model include a heated steering wheel, 8-way power driver seat, manual rear shades and dual-zone automatic temperature control. The cargo area can hold 2,041 litres behind the front seats or 1,032 litres with the second row up.
Performance Features
The Santa Fe offers gas, turbo, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. A 2.5-litre Smartstream engine is standard on the base model, providing 191 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque. The turbo version uses the same engine but delivers 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque with a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. The hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions have a 1.6-litre Smartstream turbo engine with differently rated electric motors.
Safety and Driver Assistance Features
Hyundai’s SmartSense includes several radar, motion and camera detection technologies to give you peace of mind on the road. The forward collision-avoidance system assists with pedestrian detection, warns the driver of a potential collision and can apply the brakes under certain conditions. Other features include blind-spot collision avoidance assist, blind view monitor and diver attention warning.
